Phoenix Home Professionals replaces roofs, builds sheds and installs fence across Orange and Sullivan County - and we handle the contractor side of storm-damage claims, start to finish.
We are contractors, not public adjusters. We document the damage, build the scope, and do the work.
Tear-off to ridge cap: deck inspection, ice-and-water at the eaves, synthetic underlayment, architectural shingles, balanced ventilation. Leak repairs, flashing, chimney and skylight work too.
See the roof, layer by layer → ShedsGable, barn-style or lean-to. Pressure-treated framing, a real roof system, doors and windows where you want them - not a kit dropped off a truck.
Build yours in 3D → FencingPrivacy, picket, shadowbox, lattice-top and ornamental aluminum. Posts set below the frost line so a Hudson Valley winter doesn’t heave your line.
Compare styles in 3D →New York reserves claim negotiation and settlement advice for licensed public adjusters. What we do is the contractor’s half, and we do it thoroughly: inspect and photograph the damage, write a full repair scope with line-item measurements, meet your carrier’s adjuster on the roof so nothing gets missed, and build the roof to code once it’s approved.
We walk the roof and photograph every slope, vent, valley and flashing detail, plus siding, gutters and any interior staining. You get the report in writing either way.
Us - no cost, no obligationIf the damage is real and recent, we tell you plainly. If it is wear and tear, we tell you that too - filing a claim that gets denied helps nobody.
Your call, with our findings in handYou, the policyholder, open the claim. We hand you the photo report, the date of loss and the measurements so the call takes ten minutes instead of an hour.
You - we prep the paperworkWe are on the roof with the carrier's adjuster, pointing out every damaged elevation and code item so the approved scope reflects the whole job, not a patch.
Us - as your contractorOnce the carrier issues the scope we review it line by line with you, match the approved work to a written contract, and order material with a firm install date.
Us, with you signing offTear-off to ridge vent, magnet sweep of the property, final photos, and the completion documents your carrier needs to release the remaining funds.
Us - start to finishStraight answers, no scare tactics. If your situation isn’t here, call and ask - we’ll tell you if you don’t have a claim worth filing.
A weather-related claim is generally treated differently from an at-fault claim, but rates and rules vary by carrier and by your claim history. Ask your agent directly before you file - and never let a contractor pressure you into filing. We are contractors, not adjusters or insurance advisors.
Carriers deny for missing documentation as often as for lack of damage. You can request the adjuster's report and ask for a re-inspection. If you want someone to negotiate the settlement on your behalf, that is the job of a licensed New York public adjuster or an attorney - not ours. We keep doing the contractor part: documentation, scope, and the work.
Most New York policies require prompt notice and set an outer limit measured from the date of loss - often a year or two, but it is specific to your policy. Read the duties-after-loss section, and don't sit on visible damage; interior water damage caused by a delay is often excluded.
No. Absorbing or rebating a homeowner's deductible on an insurance job is fraud in New York, and a contractor who offers it is telling you how they treat rules. Your deductible is your part of the cost.
That depends on the extent of the damage, your policy and its matching provisions. Our job is to document what actually failed and write the honest scope; the carrier decides what it approves. We will not promise you a new roof before anyone has been on it.
Yes - permits where the town requires them, dumpster or trailer, material delivery, and a magnet sweep of your lawn and driveway when we are done.
| Phoenix Home Professionals | The storm-chasing crew | |
|---|---|---|
| Where we are in February | Same Orange County phone number, answered by the person who ran your job. | Gone to the next storm state. Warranty paperwork points to a P.O. box. |
| What you get in writing | Itemized scope: named shingle product, underlayment, ice-and-water coverage, ventilation, flashing, drip edge. | "Roof replacement - insurance scope." One line, one number. |
| Money up front | No large deposit to hold a date. | A big check before any material shows up. |
| Your deductible | You pay it. We say so out loud. | "We'll waive it" - an offer to commit fraud with your name on it. |
| Who is on your roof | Our crew, insured under our liability and workers' comp. Certificate on request. | Whoever was available, subcontracted twice over. |
| Inspection pressure | Photo report, then time to think. We will tell you if you do not have a claim. | Contract on the hood of the truck before they leave the driveway. |
Most contractors in the area won’t publish a number. These are honest typical ranges for Orange and Sullivan County work - pitch, layers, access and material all move them, and your written estimate is the only number that counts.
Typical single-family tear-off and full system. Roof area, pitch, layers and access drive the spread.
Flashing, boots, a valley or a wind-lifted section. We repair when repair is the honest answer.
8×10 utility through 12×20 barn-style with a loft, a real roof system and a finished floor.
Wood picket at the low end, privacy vinyl and ornamental aluminum at the high end. Gates priced separately.
Every quote names the actual products and quantities, so you can compare us line for line against anyone else in the county.
On an approved claim your cost is typically your policy deductible plus any upgrades you choose. We never inflate a scope or offer to “eat” a deductible - that is fraud in New York.
We don’t ask for a large sum up front to hold a slot. You get a written, itemized scope with materials named by product, not “shingles - 1 lot.”
Photos of completed jobs go here as they come in - only our own work, from real Orange & Sullivan County addresses.
Including us. A contractor who flinches at any of these is telling you something.
We walk the roof, photograph every elevation, check the attic side when we can, and send you the findings in writing - whether or not there’s a claim in it for you.
